Jabalpur, 29 November (IANS). A viral video showing a cigarette being offered to the statue of Lord Kaal Bhairav in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh has gone viral. Kaal Bhairav devotees have lodged a complaint regarding the matter at Gwarighat police station.
A video went viral on social media platforms. In this, Lord Kaal Bhairav was shown smoking a cigarette. The video going viral is said to be of Badshah Halwai Temple located in Gwarighat area of Jabalpur. This video was shared by a person named Akash Goswami on social media.
In this video, it is said that if Kaal Bhairav is given a cigarette, his wish will be fulfilled. It is being claimed that by doing this all the wishes are fulfilled. When this video went viral on social media, the devotees got angry and reached Gwarighat police station. A complaint has been lodged in the police station on behalf of these devotees. The police is investigating the matter
According to the police, action will be taken against the person against whom the complaint has been made. He is also being searched. It is reported that this video is of about 40 seconds. In the video, a burning cigarette is seen in front of the statue of Kaal Bhairav.
It has not been revealed yet that the person concerned is a resident of Jabalpur. There is resentment among the devotees regarding this entire incident and they are asking for strict action to be taken against the accused. It is also being said that this video is two days old, which has now been shared on social media.
