Churu : Churu Churu, which used to make records in winter and summer, is now witnessing traditional winter season. Last night of Churu, which was in the grip of cold, was the coldest night of this season and the winds like lances piercing the body relieved the people of the dust. Although Sikar experienced the maximum cold in the state, the cold was no less in Churu too. In the similar cold weather of Shekhawati and Thali region, while the mercury in Churu rose towards the freezing point, the minimum temperature in Sikar also remained lower than Churu. The morning on Wednesday was extremely cold due to which people remained hiding under quilts for a long time. The Meteorological Department recorded the minimum minimum temperature of Churu at 1.8 degrees and the maximum temperature of 23.2 degrees Celsius.

The region became pink in winter where cold winds took the region under the influence of cold. At night, people had to resort to bonfires in homes where marriages took place, while senior citizens had to hide under quilts. With the sunrise on Wednesday morning, pink sunshine shone and people got relief from the cold. Parents made great efforts to send their school going children to school. It was sunny throughout the day, due to which people were seen sunbathing.

Possibility of drop in temperature
According to the weather centre, the weather remained mainly dry but cold wave was recorded at one or two places in the state. Cold days were recorded at some places. The lowest minimum temperature in the state was recorded at 1.5 degrees Celsius in Sikar and 1.8 degrees Celsius in Churu. According to the Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of a drop in the minimum temperature during the next 48 hours due to the influence of northern winds. During this period, there is a possibility of cold days and cold wave at some places.
