Poonch, 30 November (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi had long ago laid the foundation stone for the construction of a fifty-bed ‘Critical Care Block’ at ‘Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital’ in Poonch district of Jammu. But, work has started here now. Due to which there is a wave of happiness among the people there.
The residents of Poonch have demanded the district administration, central government and union territory government to complete the construction work of this ‘Critical Care Block’ soon. Its early construction and commissioning will benefit the people of this remote district. Currently, people of Poonch have to go to Rajouri or Jammu in case of emergency.
Along with health facilities, all types of modern machines and a modern lab will also be available in this 50-bed ‘Critical Care Block’, which will be built at a cost of about Rs 23 crore. Meanwhile, on Saturday, Poonch District Development Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal also visited ‘Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital’ and inspected the work of the Critical Care Block.
CMO Dr. Parvez Ahmed Khan said, the 50-bed critical care block was given to the hospital by PM Modi. Its work has started. Instructions have been given to complete this work as soon as possible. This center built on three floors has many facilities. CT scan and MRI facilities will also be available. This center will prove to be very beneficial for a place like Poonch.
Regarding this scheme, local resident Sunil Kumar Gupta thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for getting a hospital in a place like Poonch. He expressed regret over the fact that its foundation stone was laid long ago. But, the work started just two-three days ago. This should have been completed by now.
He said that Poonch is a very remote district and accidents happen here every day. In such a situation, if this hospital is built as soon as possible, we can save the lives of many people. Currently, even with minor injuries, people have to be referred to Rajouri or Jammu.
