Jaipur : this is too much, what people took away in buckets, bottles and cans thinking it to be petrol was not petrol. It was fuel used in aircraft… When the police came to know about this, they beat them with sticks so much that there was a stampede. The incident is of Kotputli area near Jaipur. Where on Wednesday late evening, in front of LBS College on Jaipur-Delhi NH, a tanker filled with aviation turbine fuel was hit by another vehicle. Due to which oil started flowing from the rear part of the tanker. When people came to know, they came to fill buckets, cans and bottles. There was a queue of people to loot the oil. Later it was found out that this oil is used as fuel in aircraft and helicopters.
The flight’s fuel flowed out as if someone had turned on the tap
Actually, this tanker full of fuel was going from Ballabhgarh to Phalodi. On reaching Kotputli, it was found that there was a huge traffic jam. When tried to move ahead, it was found that vehicles were stuck in the jam on the elevated bridge as well. In such a situation, the tanker driver took the tanker to the service lane and started passing slowly from there. But during this time some vehicle hit the tanker from behind and a big hole was created in it. Fuel started flowing from it as if someone had opened a tap. When the people living nearby and shopkeepers came to know about this, there was a race of looting. After some time the police reached the spot.
There was 25 thousand liters of fuel in the tanker
The tanker driver told the police that this is the fuel used in airplanes and can catch fire immediately. In such a situation, the police chased away the people present there. After that, several water tankers were called and water was sprayed continuously there. It was found that there was about twenty five thousand liters of fuel in this tanker. Out of which about four thousand liters was looted and was washed away. Later, the police also explained to the people that this is not petrol, whoever has filled it should return it, then the people returned about one thousand liters of fuel, which those people had looted. The cost of this entire fuel is about twenty lakh rupees. Five thousand liters of fuel was filled in five boxes made in the tanker.
