People of Karoli Meena community demonstrated, demanded the release of Naresh Meena.

Karauli : Meena community protested across the district against the disturbance during the assembly by-election in Samravata village of Tonk district and the arrest of independent candidate Naresh Meena. They submitted a memorandum in the name of the Chief Minister to the sub-division officers including the District Collector, demanding the release of Naresh Meena. Besides, a four-point demand has been made including action against the guilty officers. During this period, a large number of people of Meena community were present. Continuous protests are going on by the Meena community against the disturbance during the by-election in Samravata village of Tonk district and the arrest of independent candidate Naresh Meena. The youth of Meena community protested at the subdivision headquarters including Karauli Collectorate. By protesting, the youth have submitted memorandum to the District Collector and all the subdivision headquarters and tehsils including Sapotra, Karauli, Hindaun. Through memorandum and protests, a memorandum has been submitted regarding the release of independent candidate Naresh Meena, action against guilty officials, impartial investigation of the case and other demands.

The youth said that before the by-election, the villagers of Samravata village were continuously protesting for their demands. During the by-election, villagers boycotted voting due to their demands. The youth alleged that some people were forcibly pressurized by the administration to vote. Due to which an incident of slapping of SDM by an independent candidate has taken place.

He said that many people were injured in the disturbance that followed the incident. After which many innocent people including independent candidate Naresh Meena were arrested. In such a situation, they protested and submitted a memorandum in the name of the Chief Minister to the District Collector and other officials regarding the demands including release of innocent people arrested including Naresh Meena, compensation to the people injured in the riots, action against the guilty officers and fair investigation of the case. Is. During this period, police force remained deployed at the sub-division headquarters including the District Collectorate for security arrangements.
