New Delhi, December 2 (IANS). The people of New Delhi will soon start getting 24-hour supply of drinking water. New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) Vice Chairman Kuljeet Singh Chahal gave this information.
Chahal told IANS, “The dream of the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is that every person should get clean drinking water, and we have already made a lot of progress in this direction. Now we are taking it further, and NDMC We are fully prepared to provide drinking water to the people of the area 24 hours a day. We have done the homework of the entire area first. Was Rs 1.8 crore, Which has now been increased to three crores. Keeping in mind the resolve of the Prime Minister, we will have to replace the old pipelines of the NDMC area, install pump houses and improve its entire infrastructure. We have allocated budget for this and are also getting financial assistance from the Government of India.”
He said, “There are 32 slum clusters in the NDMC area. Arvind Kejriwal’s assembly constituency New Delhi also falls in the municipality. We are starting to provide tap water to every house in these slum areas, which Arvind Kejriwal We have also started it as a pilot project, and soon this facility will be available in other areas as well.”
On Arvind Kejriwal’s appeal to the people of Delhi not to pay the increased water bills, he said, “Arvind Kejriwal, who had promised to provide free water, today he himself is admitting that the bills are increasing. By increasing the bills, the public is facing financial hardships.” The public has now understood that the water they are getting is such that it is causing serious diseases like cancer, liver and kidney. Now the public has decided that they have changed their mind. Even when Congress is in Lok Sabha elections. And even when Aam Aadmi Party had formed an alliance, the public had given a clear message that the direction of the country would be correct only under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. By attacking the corruption of these two parties, the public voted for PM Modi and now he is coming. In the upcoming elections, Bharatiya Janata Party is going to form its government with two-thirds majority in the 70 assembly seats of Delhi.
He said, “Arvind Kejriwal had promised to provide free water, now he himself is saying that the bills are increasing. As a worker, I promise that when the Bharatiya Janata Party forms the government in Delhi, Delhi will become number 1 in the country in all matters like water, electricity, health and education. These will not be just promises, but every promise will become reality on the ground.
