Nagaur : Residents of Subhash Colony near the railway station in Nagaur have expressed their displeasure against the heavy vehicles passing through the colony. People, troubled by the overloaded vehicles passing through the colony loaded with railway goods, stopped the vehicles today. After this, officials of the Logistics Department reached the spot and explained to the people. The trucks were dispatched after about 3 hours.
People of Subhash Colony say that due to big vehicles passing through the narrow roads of the colony, dust accumulates on the walls of the houses. There is a possibility of some untoward incident occurring when vehicles are parked outside the house and children playing outside the house. Due to the heavy weight of the vehicles, drinking water supply pipelines frequently break. Despite repeated requests to the Municipal Council, Railways and administration officials, no action is being taken. On receiving information about stopping of trucks laden with goods, DSO Dr. Nikita Rathore reached the spot. The DSO explained that the problem would be resolved soon. Heavy vehicles will be taken through the bypass instead of the colony. The local administration has also been informed about the matter.
