People took to the streets to demand the release of the candidate in Dausa slapping controversy.

Dausa : People took to the streets on Monday demanding the release of independent candidate Naresh Meena, arrested in the SDM slapping controversy in Deoli-Uniara (Tonk). Supporters of Naresh Meena protested and raised slogans in many districts including Tonk, Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Dausa, Dholpur.

The society put forward many demands including the release of Naresh Meena, punishment of the culprits of the incident that took place in Samravata village, and an impartial investigation into the matter. Gave memorandum. Warned that if the demands are not heeded, there will be violent agitation. Two BAP MLAs also participated in the protest in Dausa.

In fact, during voting in the assembly by-election on November 13, Naresh Meena had slapped SDM Amit Chaudhary at the booth located in Samravata village of Deoli-Uniara seat. Naresh Meena had accused the SDM of conducting voting despite the election boycott.

Incidents of arson and vandalism took place in Samravata village on the night of 13 November. The next day (14 November) the police arrested Naresh Meena. Since then, protests are being held in some parts of the state demanding the release of Naresh Meena and other demands.
