New Delhi, November 27 (IANS). People are in bad condition due to pollution in the national capital New Delhi. A large amount of white foam was seen floating in the water of Yamuna river near Kalindi Kunj, due to which the water is smelling. People passing by spoke to IANS on Wednesday.
Once again, foam is seen floating on a large scale in the water of Yamuna river near Kalindi Kunj in Delhi. It becomes visible when ammonia acid is formed in water. Delhi government has claimed many times in the past that it is spending crores of rupees for cleaning the Yamuna river. However, the ground reality is different.
Local resident Havaldar Vishwakarma said that looking at the condition of the river, he was not able to muster the courage to wash his hands. We want to worship in Yamuna river, but the water seems so poisonous that we do not dare to go there and worship. We request the government to take care of the cleanliness of Yamuna and beautify it. How much shortage will the people of Delhi face in drinking water? People will get sick after drinking this.
Another local resident said that today the Yamuna river looks like a dirty drain. There is a lot of foam, dirt and smell in it. The beauty of the ghat has been completely destroyed. This water is not suitable for drinking or bathing at all. As far as taking a dip is concerned, people shy away from even going near this water and touching it. The river smells bad.
Pawan Pandey said that Yamuna is very polluted today. So much foul smell emanates from the river that people shy away from coming here for a walk. Earlier Yamuna river was clean and clear, but ever since Arvind Kejriwal’s government came to power in Delhi, the condition here is in bad shape. Yamuna water is so polluted that leave alone bathing here, even handling this water in hands can cause boils. In this matter, Arvind Kejriwal has proved to be a very useless Chief Minister.
