New Delhi, November 20 (IANS). With the second and final phase of voting in Jharkhand on Wednesday, the voting process has been completed on all the seats. Now exit poll trends have started emerging. According to ‘People’s Pulse’, ‘National Democratic Alliance’ (NDA) is expected to form the government in the state this time, while according to ‘Axis My India’, ‘India’ block will get majority.
The majority figure in the 81-member assembly in the state is 41. After the completion of voting process in two phases in the state, trends of various exit polls have started emerging.
According to ‘People’s Pulse’ exit poll, NDA is seen getting 44 to 53 seats. At the same time, ‘India’ block may get 25 to 37 seats, which is much less than the majority figure. Apart from this, five to nine seats seem to be going to ‘Others’.
According to the survey report of ‘Axis My India’, ‘India’ block is estimated to win 53 seats in the Jharkhand Assembly elections. At the same time, it has predicted that ‘NDA’ will win only 25 seats. The agency has expressed the possibility of ‘others’ getting three seats.
After voting, many agencies release their estimates which may prove to be wrong after counting of votes. The results of Jharkhand assembly elections will be revealed on June 23. Only after this it will be clear which party will form the government in the state and who will sit in the opposition.
Voting in Jharkhand Assembly elections was held in two phases. Voting for 43 seats in the first phase was held on November 13, while voting for 38 seats in the second phase concluded on Wednesday.
