Kota : Kota Abhivyakti Parishad’s petition related to Kota elections has been rejected by the High Court. The Advocates Council has welcomed the decision of the High Court. Council President Manoj Puri said that today is Constitution Day. On the day of Constitution Day, the Constitution of India and the Constitution of the Advocate Council have won. The High Court has upheld the constitutional amendment of the Advocate Council. Now elections for Advocate Council Kota will be held in two years. Here the petitioner lawyer has said that he will appeal in the double bench regarding the matter.
2 lawyers had made allegations
Two lawyers from Kota, Kripa Shankar Shringi and Bharat Singh Adsela, had filed a petition in the Jaipur High Court on 7 November. The lawyers had accused the Advocate Council of misleading the House and hiding the facts. There was a demand from the court to conduct the elections of Kota Advocate Council as per the Constitution. The lawyers said that the High Court has passed orders to conduct the elections of all the bar associations of the state in the second week of December. But the Kota Advocate Council does not want to conduct elections in defiance of the order of the High Court.
Said- Didn’t get a chance to work in a year
On the petition of the lawyers, the court had issued a notice to the Secretary of the Bar Council of Rajasthan, the President of the Advocates Council Kota and the General Secretary and sought their response. On which all the parties presented their respective answers. Advocate Council Kota President Manoj Puri said that last time elections were held in 20 months. Keeping this in view we had done General House. In which it was decided to hold elections in 2 years. There is no opportunity to get the work done in one year. Whatever elections will be held in future, they will be held every 2 years. As per the instructions of the High Court, elections for the Advocate Council Kota will be held on the second Friday of the month of December. Some lawyers had filed a petition in the High Court in this regard. Which was rejected by the court. Petitioner lawyer Bharat Singh Adsela said that the court’s decision is respected. Will appeal in double bench soon.
