Petrol tank burst after a head-on collision between two bikes in Barmer : Balotra. Both the bikes caught fire with a loud explosion. In the accident, one bike rider was burnt alive, while the youth sitting on the other bike jumped and fell away. He suffered serious head injuries. Hearing the sound of the explosion, nearby people reached the spot and tried to extinguish the fire with sand and water, but could not save the young man. People took the seriously injured youth to the hospital, where the doctor declared him dead. The accident happened in Gida police station area. There was a head-on collision between both the bikes. Police Officer Devaram said – Shravan (30), son of Ramaram, resident of Jajwa village of Gida police station area, was going from Gida to his village on bike at around 6.30 pm on Tuesday evening.
Swarooparam (35), son of Lapunda resident Kanaram, was riding a bike with his wife Bhuri Devi. On the way, both the bikes collided head-on near Bhomiya ji police station. Police officer said- The collision was so strong that the petrol tanks of both the bikes burst. Due to this both the bikes caught fire. Shravan got caught in the fire. Due to the collision, Swaroopram jumped and fell on his head, due to which he was seriously injured. His wife has suffered minor injuries. Hearing the sound of the explosion, nearby people reached the spot and tried to extinguish the fire in the bike with sand and water, but could not save Shravan.
