Plots not allotted in Nagaur Mini Food Park even after one year

Nagaur : The work of developing a mini food park in the agriculture-oriented Nagaur district is giving meaning to the idiom ‘Nau Din Chale Adhai Kos’. In view of the demand of farmers and traders of the district, the state government announced a mini food park in the budget of 2021, but has not yet allotted the plots. Whereas, after completing the land allotment process, the local authorities have completed the construction work of main gate, boundary wall, approach road and check post etc. by spending about Rs 1.06 crore.

It is noteworthy that the dream of developing Mini Agro Food Park in Nagaur has been shown to the farmers and businessmen of Nagaur for the last 11 years. In the budget of year 2021, the state government announced to develop a mini food park in Nagaur. After that the district administration allotted 100 bighas of land for a mini food park in Mundwa. After the allotment of land, the Mandi administration got the DPR prepared, according to which the plots are to be allotted from Jaipur, which has not been done even after a year. According to the information received from Nagaur Mandi Secretary, meetings have been held twice at Jaipur level for plot allotment.

Food processing industries will be set up on 40 plots

According to the DPR prepared by the Mandi administration, a total of 40 plots will be allotted on 100 bighas of land of the food park. Two warehouses will be built in these, which will have a capacity of one lakh bags. Similarly, a cold storage with a capacity of 50 thousand bags will also be built. Along with this, units like pulse processing unit, cumin and spice processing unit, dairy processing, oil mill etc. will be set up.
