PM Modi and Amit Shah paid tribute to Subramaniam Bharti on his birth anniversary

New Delhi, December 11 (IANS). Today is the birth anniversary of Tamil poet, writer, freedom fighter and social reformer Subramaniam Bharati. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Congress paid tribute to Subramaniam Bharti on his birth anniversary.

“I pay tribute to the great Subramaniam Bharati on his birth anniversary. A visionary poet, writer, thinker, freedom fighter and social reformer, his words inspired patriotism and Ignited the flame of revolution. His progressive ideals on equality and women empowerment are equally inspiring.”

PM Modi further said, “I will release a collection of his works today at 1 pm at an event organized at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. I congratulate S. Vishwanathan for this endeavour.”

Amit Shah said in a post on social media platform Did. His ideals will remain our eternal source of inspiration.”

Subramaniam Bharati is remembered for his contributions to Indian nationalism, freedom struggle and Tamil literature. He was a great poet. He talked about awareness and change in the society through his poems. He was born on 11 December 1882 in Ettayapuram, a small village in Tamil Nadu.
