PM Modi congratulated Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar

New Delhi, December 5 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday congratulated Devendra Fadnavis on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Along with this, he also congratulated Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar on taking oath as Deputy Chief Ministers. He also shared pictures of the swearing-in ceremony on social media platforms.

Praising the leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led ‘Mahayuti’, PM Modi said, “This team will make every possible effort to fulfill the aspirations of the people of the state and ensure good governance.”

Along with this he said that I assure every possible assistance from the Center for further development in Maharashtra.

PM Modi wrote on social media platform X, “Congratulations to Devendra Fadnavis on taking oath as Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Congratulations to Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar on taking oath as Deputy Chief Ministers of the state. This team is a blend of experience and dynamism and it is because of the collective efforts of this team that Mahayuti has got a historic mandate in Maharashtra.

He further wrote, “This team will make every possible effort to fulfill the aspirations of the people of the state and ensure good governance. I assure all possible assistance from the Center for further development in Maharashtra.

BJP legislature party leader Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra on Thursday. He was honored by Governor CP at the historic Azad Maidan in Mumbai. Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office and secrecy.

Along with Devendra Fadnavis, Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde and Nationalist Congress Party President Ajit Pawar took the oath of office and secrecy as Deputy Chief Ministers.

Apart from Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Chief Ministers of many states were present in the swearing-in ceremony. At the same time, many Union Ministers including BJP National President and Union Minister JP Nadda, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Food Processing Industries Minister Chirag Paswan were also present in the ceremony.

Bollywood actors Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Madhuri Dixit also attended the swearing-in ceremony. Veteran cricketer Sachin Tendulkar also attended the ceremony.
