Hanumangarh : Sangaria police station of the district has recovered 13.16 grams of heroin (Chitta) from the possession of a youth riding a bike during the blockade. The police have registered a case under the NDPS Act and are engaged in further investigation.
According to the police, the team formed under the leadership of SI Pramod Singh of Sangaria police station started the blockade on the culvert of AMP canal at Rohi Santpura on Dingarh to Santpura road. During the blockade at night, the police team stopped and searched a young man riding a bike on the basis of suspicion and 13.16 grams of chitta (heroin) was recovered from his possession.
Police seized the bike and arrested Manpreet Singh alias Judge (26), son of Manjeet Singh Jatsikh, resident of Ward 7, Village Himmatpura PS Bahawala District Fazilka, Punjab from the spot. A case was registered against the accused under NDPS Act and investigation was started. Police station in-charge SI Tejwant Singh is doing the investigation.
