Jodhpur : Jodhpur Police has made a disclosure in the case of murder of grandmother and two granddaughters in Jodhpur and arrested the accused Dinesh Jat. During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused was addicted to playing online game rummy. When he lost money, he planned to steal from Bhanwari Devi’s house and after that murdered all three. The case is of village Nanddi Khurd of Banad area.
He had lost money in a rummy game and started playing the game after the murder
DCP East Alok Srivastava said that the accused Dinesh Jat is a resident of Nanddi Khurd village of Banad police station. When the team reached the village, the villagers expressed suspicion on Dinesh Jat. After this, he was detained on Thursday and interrogation started. In the interrogation done so far, Dinesh told that he was addicted to playing online game rummy. When he lost money in it, he planned to steal in Bhanwari Devi’s house. When he reached to commit the crime, Bhanwari Devi along with her daughter and granddaughters were in the house. He was drunk and killed all three. The accused told that after the murder, he went home and started playing the game again. Initial information revealed that the accused Dinesh Jat had already lost Rs 5 lakh in online games, after which he got into debt.
He was murdered on Wednesday, he was hit with an axe on his head
According to the case, Bhanwari Devi (68), her two granddaughters Bhavna (5) and three and a half year old Lakshita were murdered on Wednesday night. The girls’ mother Santosh (27) was seriously injured in the attack. An axe was stuck in the woman’s head. The doctor has removed the axe stuck in the head. The woman is undergoing treatment at MDM Hospital. The killers attacked the mother and daughter with an axe, while the two sisters were killed by drowning them in water. The woman is unaware of the death of her mother and daughters. Bhanwari Devi’s one year old granddaughter Anishka was also in the house, but she survived because she was in another room. Meanwhile, after the revelation, the family members sitting on the dharna agreed and now the postmortem of the bodies has been done. When the father of the daughters, sitting outside the mortuary, was talked to, he burst into tears and said – ‘I was about to get my daughters admitted to school. Both of them passed away.’ As soon as he said this, he started crying.
‘How will I tell my wife about my daughters’ death’
Kishanaram, a resident of Jajiwal village, said that he drives a vehicle in the irrigation department. On Wednesday, while on duty, he received a call from his in-laws and came to know about the murder of his mother-in-law and daughters. On hearing this, the ground slipped under his feet. I still cannot understand who could be hostile towards my daughters. How will I tell my wife that my beloved ones are no longer in this world.
Daughters had to be admitted to school
Kishanaram said- I spoke to my wife Santosh on the phone at 11 am on Wednesday. She had said that she had to get the daughters admitted. I had told her that there is a holiday on Saturday. Then we will come and decide which school we will get them admitted in. The girls’ father said while crying that who knew that by evening both the daughters would not be alive. Bhavna (5) was insisting on staying with her grandmother and studying. She had stayed with her grandmother last year too. The father said that this time he wanted to keep her with him and take her to his village Jajiwal.
There was a theft during the wedding
Kishanaram said that we got married in 2017. At that time, 22 tola gold was stolen from the house. That theft was not disclosed and now this is the second incident, in this too there is a possibility of robbery. Whoever entered the house in broad daylight has stolen cash worth about two lakh rupees from the house.
5 days ago, Bhanwari Devi had got the land registered in her name
Santosh’s mother Bhanwari Devi had got a plot of land registered in her name just five days ago. The person from whom she had taken the land had power of attorney in his name. That old man had said that whether his son gives the land later or not, you should get the land registered in your name in time. On this, Bhanwari Devi got the land registered in her name.
The elderly woman had a dispute with her sons
Dispute has also come up regarding land. There was a dispute between mother and son. The mother was insisting on giving the land to the daughter. Bhanwari Devi has two sons Pukhraj and Ashok. Both their houses are nearby. Bhanwari Devi lived with her younger son Pukhraj. On the day of the incident, Ashok and Pukhraj’s wives had gone to the hospital. Pukhraj’s wife had taken her son with her and left her daughter with her mother-in-law and aunt. Ashok is a helper in the water supply department and Pukhraj works as a labourer.
Mother-in-law and sister-in-law were lying soaked in blood
When Pukhraj’s wife Goma Devi returned home with her sister-in-law and her five-year-old son after getting a sonography done, she found the body of her mother-in-law soaked in blood in the room. Inside the room, her sister-in-law Santosh was found soaked in blood. She was breathing and had an axe wound on her head. On hearing the screams of the sisters-in-law, people gathered and informed the police. After the police arrived, during the search, the bodies of the two girls were found in the tank.
