Alwar : Firoz Khan Mannaka, a wanted history-sheeter who escaped after attacking the police, was arrested from Kolhapur in Maharashtra. When the police caught him, he was washing utensils at a dhaba. To escape from the police, he shaved his head and was working at the dhaba by hiding his identity.
While trying to escape after seeing the police, he got injured in both his legs due to which he is unable to even walk. It is noteworthy that Alwar police had declared a reward of Rs 25,000 on history-sheeter Firoz. District Superintendent of Police Anand Sharma told that history-sheeter Firoz Khan (28) had threatened a businessman after coming out of jail. The businessman had registered a case in NEB police station on 22 May, in which Firoz was absconding. Information was received that Firoz was organizing a brotherhood conference in his village. On this, Firoz was caught by raiding Mannaka village on 22 June.
But his family and the people around him attacked the police and broke the glass of the police vehicle and let the accused Feroz escape. In connection with the incident, the police registered a case against 41 named accused including Feroz. About a dozen people were arrested. The houses of 10 accused including Feroz were bulldozed.
