Police registered a case after the video of firing in Pratapgarh wedding ceremony surfaced.

Pratapgarh : Police have taken action and registered a case against the accused in the case of celebratory firing during a wedding ceremony organized at a private resort in Pratapgarh city. This incident took place at the wedding of the family of reputed businessman Dinesh Soni, where the video of harsh firing went viral on social media. City Kotwal Deepak Kumar Banjara said that Pradeep Soni, a resident of Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh, fired harshly at the wedding ceremony. After the video of the incident went viral on social media, the police took the matter seriously and registered a case against the accused for firing in a public place.

Investigation and arrest efforts

Police said that the accused has been identified and teams have been formed to arrest him. Kotwal Banjara said that firing in public places is completely banned and strict action will be taken if found guilty. Wedding organizer and businessman Dinesh Soni said the firing was done from a toy gun, but the incident violated rules and was unintentional.

Appeal to follow the rules

The police have made people aware about harsh firing and appealed to avoid doing so in public places. According to the rules of harsh firing, doing so is illegal and if found guilty, strict action can be taken including confiscation of the licensed weapon.
