Greater Noida, December 10 (IANS). Ecotech-3 police station in Greater Noida has revealed the murder of the person within 24 hours and arrested one accused during the encounter. Police are searching for his other accomplice.
The arrested accused, in the greed of getting Rs 1 lakh from his partner, had murdered a person along with him. Police have recovered an illegal pistol, one live cartridge and one spent cartridge and a knife used in the murder from the possession of the accused.
According to the police, on December 8, a person named Sukhram was murdered with a sharp weapon by two unknown persons near Asclepius Hospital, Dadri Road, Kulesara under Police Station Ecotech-3 area at night. During the investigation, with the help of CCTV camera footage, the police started searching for the accused Rajesh alias Mukesh and accused Ishwar Chand alias Rinku who carried out the incident.
On December 9, on the basis of confidential information, the police arrested Ishwar Chand alias Rinku who was injured during an encounter near the dumping ground, Lakhnawali Road. During police interrogation, accused Rinku told that he and Rajesh alias Mukesh knew each other since 2012. Mukesh suspected his wife Sunita to be related to Sukhram. Two-three months ago, when Rinku met Rajesh alias Mukesh, he asked me to remove Sukhram from the way. After the murder of Sukhram, he was promised one lakh rupees.
According to the plan, Rinku, along with her friend Rajesh alias Mukesh, killed Sukhram by stabbing him with a knife. They committed this incident in front of Dadri Road Asclepius Hospital and fled from the spot. Police is searching for absconding accused Rajesh alias Mukesh.
