The police, who reached the spot, took immediate action and issued challans to the vehicles causing obstruction to traffic and deflated their tyres. The police also arranged the vehicles parked outside the business establishments.
Pedestrians face problems due to traffic jam
Traffic is often disrupted at Arnod’s bus stand and main market due to haphazardly parked vehicles. This affects the pedestrians and drivers, resulting in disputes every day. On Monday, due to sudden jam in the main bus stand area, queues of vehicles extended for about half a kilometre.
Police took over the arrangements
Police reached the spot and cleared the jam to ensure smooth flow of traffic. During this period, challans were made on many vehicles and their tires were deflated. Later, the vehicle owner was seen struggling to fill the tires with air.
People appreciated the police action
The townspeople praised this action of the police. Also demanded to free the market from encroachment and improve the traffic system. Local people say that the administration should regularly monitor the market area, so that the problem of traffic jam can be solved.
