Jaipur : Bhajanlal government has taken a U-turn regarding the recruitment of 23820 sanitation workers (Rajasthan Safai Karmchari Bharti) in the urban bodies of the state. The government has canceled the recruitment citing discrepancy. About 3.50 lakh people had applied for these posts. The Autonomous Government Department withdrew the recruitment order on Wednesday. On this matter, Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully has fiercely targeted the government.
Tikaram Julie posted from his social media handle and wrote that ‘The failure of the BJP government has once again come to light. Cancellation of recruitment of sanitation workers on 23,820 posts is an act of dashing the hopes of lakhs of youth. This shows the failure and corruption of the government. That the BJP government has to withdraw its orders again and again shows its failure. Corruption in experience certificates has become the etiquette of BJP. This government is not able to conduct recruitment even after repeatedly changing the rules, this shows their incompetence.
Youth should raise their voice for their rights – Julie
He further wrote that ‘BJP government has dashed the hopes of lakhs of youth hoping for jobs. Youth, remember, BJP had talked about providing 1 lakh jobs in 1 year, but till now nothing has been done. This shows the failure and false promises of the government. I strongly condemn the failure of this government and appeal to the youth of Rajasthan to raise their voice for their rights, Congress Party stands with you.
The decision to cancel recruitment is welcome.
At the same time, senior BJP leader Rajendra Rathore has welcomed the decision to cancel the recruitment of sanitation workers full of discrepancies. Rathore said that Valmiki Samaj has been contributing to the work of cleanliness and service for years. It is our responsibility to protect their interests and rights. It would be appropriate if the government now decides to reserve the new recruitment for this community only.
