Jaipur : After Javed, an accused in the famous Kanhaiyalal Taylor murder case of Udaipur, got bail from the High Court, politics has once again heated up in Rajasthan regarding this matter. A war of words is going on between BJP and Congress. Former CM Ashok Gehlot has launched a big attack on BJP regarding this. Gehlot said that BJP used the Kanhaiyalal murder case politically to gain electoral advantage. At the same time, BJP state president Madan Rathore said that he will study the legal decision. If needed, he will also appeal in this matter.
Javed, an accused in the Kanhaiyalal murder case, was granted conditional bail by the Jaipur bench of the Rajasthan High Court on Thursday. After that, a round of allegations and counter-allegations started between the Congress and the BJP in the state’s politics. Former CM Ashok Gehlot launched a scathing attack on the BJP on social media and said that it had used this incident extensively in its election campaign. The NIA had taken up this case on the night of this incident on 28 June 2022, but after about two and a half years, it has not shown any special interest in getting the culprits punished.
The state government also did not put any pressure for quick punishment
Gehlot alleged that the BJP government of the state also did not put any pressure for quick punishment. Lies were spread about the amount of compensation given to the victim’s family. Gehlot said that the people of Rajasthan and the victim’s family are asking whether the BJP will only take political advantage of this incident or will also try to get justice.
NIA conducts investigation based on initial tests
On this issue, Rajasthan BJP state president Madan Rathore said that NIA investigates on the basis of initial tests. There can be some error in the beginning. No evidence is collected later. Later, the investigation proceeded on the same track. Legal experts are reviewing the court’s decision. The court has granted bail to the accused, not acquitted him.
Accused Javed’s lawyer gave this argument
Accused Javed’s lawyer Saadat Ali said that NIA arrested Javed without any investigation and solid evidence. Javed was arrested only on the basis of call details. NIA does not have Javed’s mobile location, videography or any other evidence. The High Court division bench has considered NIA’s evidence incomplete. Accused Javed has been released on conditional bail.
