Jaipur : Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Tikaram Julie said that the previous Congress government did a historic job by creating new districts for the convenience of the common man, but the BJP’s Bhajanlal government wants to end them due to political bias. On the other hand, to gain electoral advantage, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is giving information about the decision to create 5 new districts in the Union Territory of Ladakh during the code of conduct. The same reasons that are being given for creating districts in Ladakh are more or less applicable to Rajasthan as well.
He said that the Chief Minister should tell that there are only 2 districts in Ladakh right now, which have been increased to 7 by the Central Government. The number of districts is being increased 5 times. At the same time, the country’s largest state Rajasthan is trying to eliminate new districts in the name of review. It is being said that creating small districts is causing losses, whereas a small district like Pratapgarh was created during the tenure of the BJP government. The BJP at the Center is saying that creating small districts in Ladakh will lead to a developed and prosperous Ladakh.
