Poonam and Pooja Mann won silver medal in women’s doubles in Jaipur badminton competition.

Jaipur : Jaipur 46th All India Electric Badminton Championship was organized in Vadodara, Gujarat between 12th to 14th October. In this, electricity corporations of Rajasthan have won 1 silver and 1 bronze medal in women’s badminton. Executive member Pawan Sharma said that from the electricity corporations of Rajasthan, a team of 8 players participated in men’s chess and badminton and a team of 5 players participated in women’s badminton.

The women’s team of power companies from Rajasthan participated in the All India level sports competition for the second consecutive time and won 2 medals. Rajasthan team manager DK Saini said that Rajasthan players performed brilliantly in all the sports in the competition, but due to experienced players from other states and tough competition, success could be achieved only in women’s badminton game.

Deepika Kaler, Technical Manager, Renewable Energy Corporation, Poonam Pilania, Junior Engineer, Suratgarh Super Critical Thermal Power Station, Pooja Mann, Junior Accountant, Kota Thermal Power Station, Shweta Kane, Junior Engineer, Rajasthan Energy, in the women’s badminton team that won the bronze medal in the All India Electricity Competition. Development Corporation, Hemlata Suman is Junior Engineer Rajasthan Electricity Transmission Corporation. Similarly, Poonam Pilania and Pooja Manna were in the women’s doubles badminton team which won silver medal.
