Udaipur : Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated on 19th August. This time special efforts have been made by the Indian Postal Department to make Raksha Bandhan, the festival of unbreakable love between brother and sister, memorable. Along with water proof envelopes for posting Rakhi, this time the Postal Department has also given the gift of a separate water proof box for gifts and sweets. This time special attention has also been paid to the quality of envelopes and boxes.
Boxes are in pink and off white color
Senior Superintendent Udaipur Division, Udaipur Akshay Bhanudas Gadekar told that in view of Raksha Bandhan, the Indian Postal Department has prepared waterproof boxes and envelopes worth 10, 15 and 30 rupees. These are available in two sizes, rakhis can be put in them and posted anywhere. These are pink and off white in color, on which rakhis are also printed. A special printed box is also available, looking at which one can guess that the sister has specially sent love to the brother on Raksha Bandhan. At the same time, these envelopes of two sizes, which do not tear easily, are also available for sale in post offices.
Priority will be given to Rakhi post
Akshay Bhanudas Gadekar said that common people can buy it from their nearest post office. Priority will be given to dispatch, sorting and distribution of these rakhi envelopes, so that the rakhis can reach the brothers on time. The department issued instructions to all post offices and distribution staff for timely distribution of Rakhi mail at every level.
