Power crisis deepens in this scorching heat, 7 hours power cut in many industrial areas from today

Jaipur : Industrial units of Rajasthan, which are facing power crisis, will have power cuts for seven hours from Wednesday. The time of the cuts will be from 8 pm to 3 am. The units which operate continuously for 24 hours, will be able to operate at 50 percent load. These also include industries with captive power. Discoms issued orders in this regard late on Tuesday night. After a day’s deliberation, Energy Minister Hiralal Nagar left for Delhi in the evening and orders were issued after that. These orders will not be applicable in industrial units included in NCR (National Capital Region). The direct responsibility of its compliance has been fixed on the Zonal Chief Engineer. However, it has been clarified in the order that there will be no cuts if necessary power is available.

Additional Chief Secretary, Energy Department Alok said that a schedule of power cuts has been issued in industrial units, but there will be no power cuts if power is available. We are working on every option to ensure regular power supply.
