Mumbai, November 22 (IANS). Both the BJP-led Mahayuti and the Congress-led Mahavikas Aghadi have claimed majority. Meanwhile, Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi chief Prakash Ambedkar has made his stand clear.

Most of the exit polls have once again predicted the formation of a grand alliance government in the state. According to exit polls, Mahayuti may get much more seats than the majority. Mahavikas Aghadi is going to get a shock. According to Poll Diary, Chanakya, Matrice, People’s Pulse the voters have clearly voted for Mahayuti. At the same time, the exit poll of Axis My India has predicted a big victory in Maharashtra for the ‘Mahayuti’ alliance of BJP, Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar’s NCP.
Senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is in a position to form the government in Maharashtra. Some people believed that the BJP would not come to power again, but electoral trends indicate that the party will form its government in both the states. All the exit polls are indicating that BJP is going to register a big victory.
Voting for all 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra was held in a single phase on November 20. This year the average voting in the state has been more than 65 percent. A total of 4,136 candidates from 158 political parties and independents contested the elections in 288 assembly constituencies in the state. The results of the elections will be declared on 23 November.
