Pratapgarh 125 samples of fertilizers, seeds and pesticides were taken, campaign will continue till 30

Pratapgarh : Pratapgarh In view of the increasing trend in farming in the last few years, the market for fertilizers, seeds and agricultural medicines has increased. In such a situation, even agricultural inputs are not untouched by adulteration. In view of this, a quality control campaign is being run by the Agriculture Department in Kharif and Rabi seasons. Under this, a Rabi quality control campaign was conducted a month ago this year also. Which was earlier to be run till 15th November. But considering the demand of farmers, this campaign has been extended till November 30 by the Agriculture Department. Due to which the process of taking samples is going on in the district also by the Agriculture Department.

So far, around 125 samples have been taken by the department in the district. It is noteworthy that in view of the complaints of adulteration in agricultural inputs for the last few years, the Agriculture Department has started the exercise of taking samples and conducting tests. Under this, Rabi quality control campaign was conducted in the district these days. Under this, agricultural input shops were inspected by the Agriculture Department. Where samples of agricultural inputs were also processed. The last date of the campaign in the district was 15 November. But it has now been extended till 30 November. Under which the teams formed by the department are engaged in the process of taking samples. These samples are being sent to the laboratory for testing. From where further action will be taken on the basis of the report.

Monitoring is being done by the department

The process of taking samples is being done every month by the Agriculture Department in the district. Under this, it is necessary to maintain inspector register at all the dealers. Along with this, a check list also has to be attached. Constant monitoring is being done regarding the supply of pesticides, chemicals, bio-pesticides, bio-products and fertilizers. Monitoring is being done by inspection from time to time. The Agriculture Department is forming a team and taking sampling action once every month.
