Pratapgarh : A weekly review meeting was organized in the Mini Secretariat Auditorium on Monday under the chairmanship of Pratapgarh Collector Dr. Anjali Rajoria. In which the Collector discussed various efforts being made by the Health Department for the prevention of seasonal diseases. While directing the officials of Public Health Engineering Department and Electricity Department to fulfill the goals of Jal Jeevan Mission, the Collector said that they should coordinate among themselves and complete all the pending applications to ensure continuous supply of water and electricity in the villages of the district. In the meeting, the District Collector expressed his strong displeasure over the banners, boards and hoardings put up without permission at various places in the city and directed to remove all such hoardings immediately, and he also directed to take heavy action against the persons violating the rules in this regard. In this context, great concern was expressed over the increase in suicide rates in Pratapgarh district and there was special discussion on the increasing depression among students and youth and timely counseling to improve their mental condition. In this regard, the District Collector directed the Health Department, Agriculture Department and Education Department to coordinate among themselves and prepare an action plan soon. In connection with the completion of one year of the State Government in mid-December, the Collector asked all the departments to work in mutual coordination to make various programs conducted in the district successful.
