Hundreds of farmers from Achalpura, Semrada, Chhotisadri, Barekhan, Malavada villages participated in the demonstration. Expressing their displeasure against the Railway Department, the farmers have stopped the construction work.

During the protest, farmers reached the subdivision office and submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister to the SDM. In which a demand was made to send the file for revision for the revised award due to reducing the rate in determining the compensation for unacquired land in the railway line. In the memorandum given to the Chief Minister, the farmers said that the compensation award for the unacquired land for the Badisadri to Neemuch railway line was given by the then competent authority and the Sub-Divisional Officer under the Railway Act 2008 which is called the Land Acquisition Act 2013. Under this, it was issued on 28 February 2024. A memorandum was presented by the farmers regarding this award. Many demands were stated in the memorandum given to the SDM. The compensation rate of farmers was fixed at Rs 1 lakh per saw in the year 2014 during the construction of National Highway 113. In view of this rate, the said file should be re-heard by the Land Acquisition Officer and Sub-Divisional Officer under District Collector Pratapgarh for amendment of the award.
