Pratapgarh : Pratapgarh In the presence of Jain Digambar Muni Punya Sagar, under the auspices of Jain Dasha Narsinghpura Samaj, the three-day Anant Vrat Udyapan ceremony started from Monday in the Digambar Jain Mahavir Temple of the city. On the first day, various religious events including Ghat Yatra, flag hoisting, mandap inauguration etc were organized at the venue. In the morning, after Jinendra Bhagwan Abhishek and Shantidhara, a procession was taken out from the temple in the city amidst musical instruments. In which the people of the society including Anant Vrati family went on a city tour with the Lord’s chariot. Ahead of the Ghat Yatra, a child was riding on a horse with a religious flag. Behind, Saudharma Indra Vikas Patwa and other Indra-Indranis were riding in buggies with their families. Along with his sage group, women were walking with pots on their heads, dancing and chanting the praises of the Lord. The Ghata Yatra started from Mahavir Temple of Dhariyavad and via Old Bus Stand, Sadar Bazaar, Kabutar Khana, the Ghata Yatra again reached Mahavir Temple. Under the direction of Digambar Muni Punya Sagar, events like flag hoisting, sanctification, land purification, Acharya invitation, picture unveiling, Indra Pratishtha, Mangal Kalash installation etc. were organized at the venue. The Manglik Divya Deshana Dharmasabha of Muni Punya Sagar was organized there. In which the sage told the disciples and the people of the society about the initiation of Anant Vrat Udyapan. During this, Sunil Bhopawat, son of Samadhistha Muni Shreyas Sagar and Shreya Mati Mataji and his family took advantage of the flag hoisting.
Worship of the fourteenth Tirthankara Anantnath
Anant Vrati families unveiled the portrait of Prathamcharya Shanti Sagar and lit the lamp. In the afternoon, all Indra-Indranis performed Vidhana Puja and worshiped Lord Anantnath, the fourteenth Tirthankara of Jainism. In the evening, after the aarti of Jinendra Prabhu and Muni, Punya Sagar gave sermons in the form of Anand Yatra. In the evening, Anshul and party staged a play describing the glory of Anant Vrat. Under the direction of Pratisthacharya Pandit Hansmukh Jain, the Udyapan ceremony will continue for three days. Various religious events will be held in the Mahavir Temple complex throughout the day on Tuesday. In which events like Jinendra Abhishek, Maha Mandal Vidhan etc. will be held. Every day Shastra Sabha and evening devotional cultural programs along with Anand Yatra etc. will be organised. The event will conclude with Vishwashanti Mahayagya and Rathotsav on Wednesday morning.
Udit Sagar’s 80 day penance begins
The 80-day penance of Jain Digambar Muni Punya Sagar’s Sanghastha Dhariyavad Nagar Gaurav Muni Udit Sagar Maharaj started from Monday. In which Muni Udit Sagar will have 60 fasts and 20 parnas for the next 80 days. During the entire penance, Sage Udit Sagar will observe a fast of silence. It is noteworthy that Udit Sagar Maharaj had already fasted 44, 32, 16 times.
