Pratapgarh : Pratapgarh On the instructions of the State Government to curb female feticide and maintain the balance of sex ratio, the Chief Medical and Health Officer today inspected the sonography centers in Pratapgarh. Guidelines were given regarding irregularities found during inspection at sonography centers operating at various places in the city. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Jeevraj Meena said – A total of 10 sonography centers are operating in the city. Out of which 7 are being operated at private level. Under the direction of Collector Dr. Anjali Rajoria, three private sonography centers were inspected. Here the track record of the machines, fees charged from the patients coming for examination, degree of doctors, record maintenance, Aadhar card of the patient etc. were examined.
Dr. Meena said- According to the guidelines issued by the Health Department, there is a complete ban on fetal sex determination. For this, instructions have been given to all sonography center operators. These centers are inspected from time to time on the instructions of the State Government to prevent female feticide and maintain sex ratio balance. This ongoing campaign will continue till December 15. If any irregularity is found at any center during inspection, action will be taken there.
