Pratapgarh Sowing completed in plain areas, sowing continuing in canal areas, 73% target achieved

In such a situation, sowing phase is still going on in the district. However, sowing has been done in the plains. The crops have also sprouted. On the other hand, irrigation of betel leaf is going on. Sowing has been done in the plains and hilly areas. Whereas sowing is going on in the canal areas. The flowering stage of the mustard crops sown first in the district is going on. Whereas sowing of pulses, wheat, fenugreek, garlic, onion etc. has been done. Considering the availability of water, mustard has been sown in about 20 thousand hectares in the district this year.

Whereas these days other crops have also been sown in the district. It is noteworthy that due to availability of water in the district, the area under wheat is more. This year, the department has set a target of Rabi sowing in 1 lakh 74 thousand hectares in the district. Out of this, sowing has been done in 1 lakh 40 thousand hectares so far. Along with this, many other crops are being sown. Which is 73 percent against the target.

Wheat sowing phase in final stage

The wheat sowing phase in the district is now in its final phase. This year the target of sowing wheat in the district has been set in 90 thousand hectares. So far sowing has been done in 64 thousand 240 hectares. Which has been done in plains and irrigated areas. Whereas sowing is going on in the canal areas.

More sowing of mustard and pulses

This year, without any shortage of water, more irrigated crops have been sown. Along with this, mustard crop which requires less water has been sown in more than 15 thousand hectares. Gram has been sown in more than 21 thousand areas. Whereas lentils have been sown in 6 and a half thousand hectares against the target of 6 thousand.
