Preparation for change in school curriculum in Rajasthan, Education Department in action

Jaipur : Jaipur A curriculum review committee has been constituted at the state level to review the entire school curriculum currently running in the state. Education and Panchayati Raj Minister Madan Dilawar had recently publicly announced that some unnecessary topics and subjects being taught in the curriculum will be removed. Besides, the entire school education curriculum will be reviewed and made relevant to the times and full of national spirit. In this sequence, following the instructions of the Minister, the school education department of the state came into action and now the department has taken steps in this direction and has taken the initiative to review the curriculum and formed a committee.

Suggestions will be submitted within 30 days

As per the order of the Government of Rajasthan, this review committee will compile/interpret the content/images/sketches/material of the entire school curriculum keeping in mind the provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the State Curriculum Framework and the National Curriculum Framework. After studying and reviewing the report, it will submit suggestions to Rajasthan State Council of Educational Research and Training, Udaipur within 30 days.

The rules were discussed with the Director of NCERT

Let us inform that on November 14, 2024, a high level delegation of Dr. Jagdish Narayan Vijay and Dr. Surendra Godhra, led by Education Minister’s Special Agent Satish Kumar Gupta, visited Delhi and met Professor Dinesh Prasad Saklani, Director of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), Delhi. And after meeting Secretary Aman Sharma, there was a detailed discussion regarding the rules and legal provisions of curriculum review.

Review Committee Members

Vice Chancellor Vardhaman Mahavir Open University, Kota, Professor Kailash Sodani has been made the chairman of the committee. While Hanuman Singh Rathore will be the vice-chairman of the Academics Committee. D Ramakrishna Rao, educationist, NCRT, Delhi, has been made an advisory member of the committee, while Satish Kumar Gupta, an expert of Education Minister Madan Dilawar, will act as member secretary. The committee includes former Vice Chancellor Kota University and former member Rajasthan Public Service Commission Professor Pramendra Kumar Dashora, former Chairman Board of Secondary Education Ajmer, Professor Bharat Ram Kumar, retired educationist Shyam Sundar Bissa, Jayanti Lal Khandelwal, expert Jaipur and Kanhaiya Lal Beriwal retired IPS, Jaipur. Has been appointed a member of the committee.
