Bharatpur : Preparations are going on in full swing for the Govardhan fair on the occasion of Guru Purnima on 20-21 July in Rajasthan. This time Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma can also attend the Govardhan fair. Some part of the Govardhan Parikrama route falls in Deeg district of Rajasthan. Every year, a bhandaar is organized in the Guru Purnima fair through Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. This time too, to ensure that the devotees coming to the Govardhan fair do not face any kind of problem on the arrival of the Chief Minister, Minister of State for Home Jawahar Singh Bedham has held a meeting with the Adhakasaris and given necessary guidelines.
‘The people of Braj will thank the CM’
The Minister of State for Home inspected the 1.5 km area of the Saptakosiya Parikrama Marg falling within the state boundary. State Minister Bedham has said that during the Chief Minister’s visit, the people of the area will thank and congratulate the Chief Minister for the announcements made for the Braj region in the budget. There are 2 thousand bighas of agricultural land here which has been suffering from waterlogging for 25 years. This time the Bhajan Lal government has approved a lift project of 6 crore 50 lakhs for these affected villagers in the budget. This has directly benefited thousands of farmers of half a dozen villages including Samai, Kheda Brahmin, Poonchri, Barauli.
‘CM Sharma is a devotee of Giriraj ji’
Minister of State for Home, Jawahar Singh Bedham said that the government has taken a step towards preserving the culture of Braj by forming the Braj Vikas Board, this will promote tourism. The Minister of State for Home said that CM Bhajanlal Sharma is an ardent devotee of Giriraj ji, he has been coming here every year on the occasion of Guru Purnima. He is coming this time too. Minister of State for Home, Bedham said that the government is determined to ensure that the devotees coming on the Parikrama route get better basic facilities within the state. He said that all preparations are being made so that the devotees go with good thoughts, no one faces any inconvenience. The officers should work with team spirit.
Special arrangements for devotees
Minister of State for Home, Jawahar Singh Bedham, along with officials, inspected the entire Parikrama Marg in Poonchri ka Lautha area situated in the state’s border. He took stock of the facilities and cleanliness being developed for the devotees on the Parikrama Marg. On this occasion, Minister of State Bedham said that lakhs of devotees from all over the country come to perform Parikrama in the Mudia Purnima fair, so ensure regular inspection while cleaning all the temples, all the places of Parikrama halt and Parikrama Marg situated in the border of Rajasthan. The Minister of State said that a grand welcome gate should be built on the border of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan and seating arrangements should be made for the pedestrians, apart from this, arrangements for shade and water should also be made so that the devotees can rest. He said that regular cleaning arrangements should be made at the drinking water and bhandaara sites on both sides of the Parikrama Marg, so that dirt does not spread.
Medical facility will be available 24 hours
To provide medical facilities to the devotees, Minister Bedham directed the medical department to deploy additional staff at the Primary Health Centre Poonchri Ka Lauta. He also directed to keep the services running 24 hours during the fair. He said that the movement of vehicles should be restricted so that the devotees doing Dandavat and Parikrama on foot on the Parikrama route do not face any inconvenience.
