Preparations for Mahakumbh 2025 are going on war footing

Prayagraj, December 2 (IANS). Maha Kumbh is going to be organized after 12 years in 2025 on the holy land of Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh. Mahakumbh will be organized from 13 January to 26 February. Preparations for Mahakumbh are going on war footing. According to official estimates, around 43 crore pilgrims are expected to visit the Maha Kumbh Mela.

Extensive preparations are going on and all development activities from Sangam to Mahakumbh are being closely monitored. Strict security arrangements are being made to ensure the safety and convenience of the devotees.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is actively monitoring the preparations for the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, has directed officials to provide a seamless experience for pilgrims from India and abroad attending the event.

According to media reports, PWD has also increased its pace and the work of renovation of pontoon bridges as well as roads is also gaining momentum. Till December 1, 27 roads have been renewed by the Public Works Department (PWD). Whereas, the target has been set to complete the renewal work of the remaining roads by December 10. Similarly, the beautification work of 17 roads is also likely to be completed by December 5. It is noteworthy that PWD has a total of 89 projects, out of which about 60 projects have been completed, while the remaining are targeted to be completed by December 10.

Last Wednesday, CM Yogi had reviewed the preparations for the Mahakumbh and had assured that all the arrangements for the event would be completed by December 10, a month before the scheduled time.

According to media reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will come to Prayagraj on 13 December. Here PM Modi will perform the Aarti of Mother Ganga and inaugurate many development projects. According to the CM, the Prime Minister will also watch a presentation on ‘Digital Kumbh’ and inspect the works prepared to enhance the grandeur of the event.
