New Delhi, December 2 (IANS). President Draupadi Murmu will visit Odisha from December 3 to December 7. During this, she will attend the Navy Day program to be held in Odisha on 4th December as the chief guest. Earlier on December 3, she will unveil the new statue of Pandit Raghunath Murmu and visit the primitive Over Jarpa Jaher in Bhubaneswar.
According to the President’s Secretariat, the President will visit and worship at Shri Jagannath Temple in Puri on December 4. On the same day, she will also participate in the 75th anniversary celebrations of Gopabandhu Ayurved College, Puri.
The President will attend the Navy Day celebrations and operational demonstration at the Blue Flag Beach in Puri. The ceremony will see Indian Navy aircraft, ships, helicopters, submarines and vessels showcasing their capabilities at the ‘Blue Flag Beach’ of Puri in Odisha. 15 warships and more than 40 aircraft of the Indian Navy are taking part in this ceremony. Along with this, naval submarines and marine commandos will also showcase the capabilities of the Navy in the ceremony.
The Navy Day celebrations will be concluded by the Band of Eastern Naval Command. Naval band will play patriotic tunes here. The traditional Beating Retreat ceremony will also be held. The continuity drill followed by the drone and laser show will be an important highlight of the Navy Day celebrations.
After this, the President will attend the 40th convocation of Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar on December 5. On the same day, she will also inaugurate the new judicial court complex in Bhubaneswar.
The President will interact with students and villagers at Uparabeda on 6 December. She will also interact with the students and teachers of Women’s College, Rairangpur.
The next day on 7 December, the President visited the Bangiriposi-Gorumhisani, Buramara-Chakulia and Badampahar-Kendujhargarh railway lines, Tribal Research and Development Centre, Rairangpur; Dandbos Airport, Rairangpur; And will inaugurate various projects including Sub-Divisional Hospital, Rairangpur.
