Jaipur : Vegetable prices increased in Rajasthan. Tomato reached Rs 100 per kg, cauliflower Rs 80 per kg and onion Rs 60 to Rs 70 per kg. Vegetable prices are increasing day by day. The kitchen budget is now getting disturbed due to rising prices of vegetables. Onion was priced at Rs 20-30 per kg in Gopa Chowk Mandi of Jaisalmer city. Now they are being sold at Rs 60-70 per kg. Today tomato is priced at Rs 100-110 per kg, ginger at Rs 200-250, coriander at Rs 300 per kg. Chandraprakash, who came to buy vegetables, says that the biggest increase has come in tomatoes. It has become costlier by Rs 40 per kg in a week.
Vegetables got spoiled due to rain

Tomato prices reached Rs 100-110 per kg
Priyanka, a woman who came to buy vegetables, said that about 10 days ago tomatoes were being sold at Rs 60 per kg. Today the price of tomato has reached Rs 100-110 per kg. Capsicum has reached Rs 80-100. There is no taste in eating without tomatoes, hence taking it is a compulsion. The rising prices of vegetables have broken the back of the common man.
Vegetables come to Jaisalmer from Ahmedabad
In Jaisalmer, farmers do very little vegetable cultivation; whatever cultivation is done is spoiled due to excessive heat. Whereas in Jaisalmer, vegetables also come from Ahmedabad and Jodhpur. This time, due to excessive rains, the prices have increased and people have been put into financial trouble. Importing vegetables from outside increases the price even more.
Budget spoiled due to expensive vegetables

Vegetable crop spoiled due to rain in Tonk

The wholesale price of Hari Mirchi is Rs 50 to Rs 55 per kg, while the cheapest ladyfinger is being sold these days at Rs 16 to Rs 20 per kg.
Brinjal is being sold at Rs 70 to 75 per kg.
Tinda is being sold at Rs 70 to 80 per kg. Local brinjal is being sold at Rs 70 to 75 per kg. Long brinjal is being sold for Rs 30 to 35 per kg. These days green coriander is being sold for Rs 130 to 140 per kg. The price of onion is Rs 40 to Rs 50 per kg and cauliflower is Rs 60 per kg. The price of cabbage is Rs 35 per kg. Beetroot is being sold at Rs 40 per kg. The price of arbi is Rs 60 per kg while spinach is being sold at Rs 35 per kg. Potato is being sold at Rs 25 per kg.
