Prime Minister Modi has approved railway projects worth Rs 73,000 crore in Odisha: Ashwini Vaishnav

Cuttack, December 7 (IANS). The second entry gate of Cuttack railway station in Odisha was inaugurated by Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Saturday. During this time, local leaders, MPs and a large number of citizens of Cuttack were also present. The local people warmly welcomed the Union Minister and expressed happiness on this historic occasion.

While talking to IANS, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes that the overall development of the country is possible only with the development of Eastern India. Under this vision of the Prime Minister, Odisha has been given a special place. Prime Minister Modi has approved railway projects worth Rs 73,000 crore in Odisha, with the bhoomi pujan of three major railway projects in Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts being performed today. These three projects include Bangiriposi-Gorumhisan, Badampahar-Keonjhar and Budhmara-Chakulia projects.

He said that these projects are to improve the connectivity of tribal areas. This will accelerate the pace of development in the region of Northern Odisha. The Union Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved these projects, which will boost the connectivity of Orissa and surrounding areas. Apart from this, he told about the hydrogen train that India will be among the top 5 countries in the world which will master the technology of hydrogen train. The 1200 horse power hydrogen train is under development and will soon be available for testing.

Inaugurating the second entry gate of Cuttack Railway Station, the Union Minister said that it is a project worth Rs 300 crore, the aim of which is to provide better facilities to the passengers. Under this project, new platforms, children’s play areas, shade arrangements and other facilities will be provided for the comfort of passengers. He said that this project is in line with the 50 years of development vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, so that the railway station is prepared according to the future needs.

He informed that the development of Cuttack’s main railway station is also progressing rapidly and Rs 300 crore has been invested in this project. This project is now in its final stages and in the coming time, this Cuttack Railway Station will become a modern, developed and passenger facilities-rich station. He further said that apart from this, the progress of four-lining projects from Kolkata to Chennai was discussed. Under this project, work on the third and fourth lines is also going on at a fast pace, which will improve the speed of trains and the capacity of the railway network.

The local citizens who came here on this occasion said that the Modi government at the Center is doing good work. The government has done a lot, a lot of good work has been done regarding development in the last few years. There has been development in railways too, but still some more work is needed.

Prashant Kumar said that we were waiting for ten years, work was going on for three years. Now the work is over and our earlier route was very small and there used to be a lot of problems. Now the new road built next to it has become very convenient. The auto stand here has also been properly organized and employment opportunities have also increased due to this. There has been a lot of development in Cuttack and it is very good for the old city. After the arrival of Modi government, trains have also increased at Cuttack Railway Station and now the station is clean. The work of the Railway Ministry is also going on very well and will improve further in the coming times. We are very happy and thank Modi ji.

Shashikant Nayak said that the work done by Railways in Cuttack is very good. Earlier the station was very old, but now a new one is being built. The old roads have now become better near the new NH. A lot of change is coming in Cuttack under the leadership of PM Modi, we all are feeling this change. PM Modi is truly like God.

Anita said that the inauguration of the second entrance of Cuttack Railway Station is a matter of great pride for us. This is very important for our Odisha, and will also improve the traveling experience. We are local people and today Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has come here, we are very happy. Whatever big projects there are, they will be very beneficial for us, we hope that there will be further development. We are confident that Cuttack will develop even more rapidly.
