Patna, November 15 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi may have participated in the Tribal Pride Day celebrations organized on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda in Jamui, Bihar on Friday, but he went to the neighboring state of Jharkhand from the soil of Bihar.
Assembly elections are going on in Jharkhand. In this election, the first phase of voting has been done, while all the parties are making efforts for the second phase of voting. Meanwhile, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, who had the status of God in the tribal society, PM Modi reached Jamui and tried to woo the tribal voters through development schemes.
It is noteworthy that BJP led NDA is adopting every trick to woo the tribal voters in Jharkhand elections. In such a situation, this political move of PM Modi is being considered quite correct. With the presence of descendants of Birsa Munda and Sidhu Kanhu on the stage created for this function, BJP was also successful in giving the message that it will not let the bravery of the tribals in the freedom struggle be forgotten.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 6640 crore. Many of these schemes are directly related to the tribal society. During this, PM also participated in the Griha Pravesh of 11 thousand houses under Jan-Mann. In his address, the Prime Minister also tried to prove that till now the martyrs of the tribal society have not been given the place they deserve. For this he also targeted Congress.
During this, he also counted the names of freedom fighters from the tribal society. It is said that the tribal society has dominated the politics of Jharkhand. The voters of the tribal community decide the stance of the government. It is said that more than 25 percent of the population in Jharkhand belongs to the tribal community.
It is noteworthy that last time PM had reached Ulihatu, his birthplace, on the occasion of Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary. Here, PM Modi was also seen in a different style on Tribal Pride Day. People of the tribal community looked happy with the PM’s participation in the function.
