Patna, 12 November (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bihar on Wednesday. PM Modi will visit Darbhanga and inaugurate, lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation several development projects in Bihar costing about Rs 12,100 crore.
According to a government statement, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of AIIMS in Darbhanga to cost over Rs 1,260 crore to boost healthcare infrastructure. It will have a super-specialty hospital, AYUSH block, medical college, nursing college, night shelter and residential facilities.
During this tour, Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several national highway projects in Bihar costing about Rs 5,070 crore. He will inaugurate the four-lane Galgaliya-Araria section of NH-327E. This corridor will provide an alternative route from Araria to Galgaliya in the neighboring state of West Bengal on the East-West Corridor. PM Modi will also inaugurate two rail over bridges on NH-322 and NH-31.
Apart from this, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate a major bridge on NH-110 at Bandhuganj, which will connect Jehanabad to Bihar Sharif. Prime Minister Modi will also lay the foundation stone of eight national highway projects.
Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of railway projects worth more than Rs 1,740 crore. During this, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of railway projects costing more than Rs 220 crore from Chiralapothu to Bagha Bishunpur in Aurangabad district of Bihar. He will also dedicate to the nation railway projects costing more than Rs 1,520 crore. These include gauge conversion of Jhanjharpur-Laukaha Bazar railway section, Darbhanga bypass railway line, this will reduce the railway traffic congestion at Darbhanga Junction, doubling of railway line projects, this will facilitate better regional connectivity.
Prime Minister Modi will also flag off train services in Jhanjharpur-Laukaha Bazar section. The introduction of MEMU train services in this section will facilitate easy access to jobs, education and healthcare facilities in nearby towns and cities.
Prime Minister Modi will dedicate 18 Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Kendras to the nation at various railway stations across the country. Jan Aushadhi Kendras will ensure availability of affordable medicines for passengers at railway stations.
PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of several schemes worth more than Rs 4,020 crore in the petroleum and natural gas sector. In line with the vision of bringing PNG to homes and providing clean energy options to commercial and industrial sectors, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the City Gas Distribution (CGD) network by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited in five major districts of Bihar, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Supaul, Sitamarhi and Sheohar. Will lay the foundation stone of development. He will also lay the foundation stone of bitumen manufacturing unit of Barauni Refinery of Indian Oil Corporation Limited.
