Jaipur : private bus operators across the state are on strike today. More than 30,000 private buses are on strike today. Bus operators have accused the government of breaking its promise. All of them have decided not to put a single private bus on the road today. Due to this strike, the transport service of regional and rural areas is getting affected a lot. The people who work and travel daily are facing the most problems. Its effect is also being seen on short distance transport services.
State President Satyanarayan Sahu said that memorandums were given to the Transport Department several times for solving the problem. But the department has not solved the problem of private bus operators till date. Earlier a 23-point demand letter was given to the department. About 13 demands were accepted, but orders were not issued. Due to this, there is a lot of anger among the bus operators.
General Secretary Ravi Prakash Saini said that a one-day Chakka Jam is being organized for many demands including issuing permits for public transport service, issuing offline TP along with online TP, keeping the duration of temporary permit 24 hours, giving industry status to the transport business. Patron Anil Jain said that about thirty thousand bus operators are on indefinite strike for the whole day.
The strike is having a greater impact on the transport services in rural areas. Be it public transport service, sleeper coaches or stage carriages. All buses including suburban buses are closed. Due to which passengers are facing problems.
