Property of 11 ration dealers in Baran will be confiscated, accused of wheat embezzlement

Kota : Properties of 11 ration dealers in Baran district of Rajasthan will be attached. These dealers are accused of embezzling wheat allocated for the poor under the public distribution system. On the instructions of the district administration, the logistics department has started the process of taking action against these dealers. A total of Rs 1 crore 41 lakh will be recovered from these. District Logistics Officer Anil Chaudhary said that in the investigation conducted by the state level inspection team, irregularities were found in these 11 ration dealers.

Action being taken for not responding to the notice

He said that these ration dealers, who were distributing wheat to the poor, embezzled 5 thousand 348 quintals of wheat. After the embezzlement was detected, the department issued a notice to recover the actual price of wheat from them. But, these dealers are not depositing the amount. After confirmation of embezzlement of wheat, action is being taken against these dealers under PDR Act. Their ration dealer licenses have already been canceled, and now the process of recovery from them has been started. An FIR has been lodged against these 11 ration dealers for not depositing the amount.

The property of these ration dealers will be confiscated

Sulochana Bai (Kharkhada Asan), Ramswaroop Sahariya (Kawai Salpura), Kamal Kumar Sharma (Oil Factory, Baran), Narendra Soni (Village Bamla), Jodhraj Panchal (Bhatwara), Rathore Oil Ghani Producer Cooperative Society (Baran), Ramcharan Sahariya (Village Sakrawada), Gyanchand Jain (Kherliganj Atru), Munshiram Sahariya (Relawan), Mohanlal Sahariya (Gordhanpura), Ghasilal Bhol. (Village Gusai Kherkheda) is included. The properties of these dealers, who embezzle the wheat allotted under the Public Distribution System, are being traced, after which their properties will be auctioned and the amount of the state government will be compensated.
