Jhunjhunu News Deck: On Friday, people protested against the mining going on in Kanha mountain adjacent to the city. Under the leadership of Madrasa Board Chairman MD Chopdar and former minister Rajendra Singh Gudha, people reached the mining area of Kanha Hills and started raising slogans demanding stop of mining. People sat on strike there and started insisting on stopping the mining work. On information, CO City Virendra Kumar Sharma, SDM Hawai Singh Yadav, Mineral Engineer, Kotwali Police Station Officer Pawan Choubey along with police force reached the spot and explained, but things did not work out. Former Rajendra Singh Gudha said that mining work here was stopped for years.
The administration has got the lease reinstated, this will not be tolerated. Since this is a populated area, mining will not be allowed here under any circumstances. The protest will continue until closure order is issued. Khadim Tagala said that the administration did not take care of the population living near the hill. Blasting is happening here every day. When blasting happens, it seems as if an earthquake has occurred. Aslam Mirza told that our house is 300 meters away from the hill and mining work takes place throughout the night. Machines make noise. It has become difficult for people to sleep at night because of the noise. Yunus Bhati said that blasting creates a lot of dust. Due to this people are having difficulty in breathing. Ibrahim Khan told that the people of the city are getting troubled due to the wrong decision of the administration. Amen Bhati said that there is a dense population near the hill. People’s health is being played with. Itiyaz Tagala said that the blasting has caused cracks in the nearby houses. Local people are living under the shadow of fear. Maqbool Hussain said that if the mining work is not stopped then the city will be ruined. A large number of people including Yunus Bhati, Abbas Bhati, Khadim Hussain, Idrish, Imran, Ahmed Chejara, Zahir Bhati, Amen Bhati, Azam Ali, Puranmal, Ikram Bhati participated in the protest.
