Dausa : Traders have mobilized and registered a protest against the construction of overbridge and widening of the road at Agra Gate, the main market of Bandikui city. In the meeting of traders held at Khandelwal Dharamshala on Sunday night, a 51-member executive was formed and the decision to close the market on Wednesday was taken.
Executive Patron Mahendra Daiman said that it was unanimously decided in the meeting that a demand would be made to change the location of the overbridge (ROB) and to stop the work of widening of the road going from Agra Gate to Jhalani Bagichi Railway Gate. Under this protest, on Wednesday all the traders along with their families will gather at Gandhi Park and from there they will reach the SDM office in a procession and submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister. During this period the market will remain closed from 9 am to 12 noon.
To decide the future strategy, the traders have formed ‘Bandikui Bachao Sangharsh Committee’, in which Radheshyam Saini has been appointed as the President, Mehul Singal as the Vice President, Dr. Sonu Goyal as the Minister, Vikas Chhabra as the Treasurer and Harsh Sharma as the Organization Minister. Has gone. The patrons include Ashok Kath, Nilesh Katta, Mahendra Daiman and Rahul Jhalani.
In the meeting, the traders expressed strong opposition to both these projects and said that the overbridge and road widening will not only affect the business of the city, but the common people will also have to face huge inconvenience. Traders say that in the past too they had protested against these projects, but till now the administration has not paid any attention to their demands.
