Jaipur : Jaipur Scheduled Caste (SC) girl students of Mahi Hostel of Rajasthan University protested against illegal entry and caste discrimination on Tuesday. In protest, the girl students surrounded the Vice Chancellor’s office. About 50 girl students from Mahi Hostel including Pooja Bairava, Madhu Verma, Priya, Priyanka, Ekta, Pooja, Neeti and Kusum gathered outside the VC office at 1 pm. Here the girl students raised slogans against the Chief Warden. During this, the students of Aravali Hostel supported the demonstration of the girl students. The girl students allege that the university administration has forcibly given admission to non-SC girl students in Mahi Hostel, which is a violation of the rules. The girl students demanded an investigation into the matter and action against those responsible. The students say that incidents of caste discrimination and harassment have already happened in the hostel, which have been ignored by the administration. This time illegal entry has further endangered their safety and rights.
