Sawai Madhopur News Desk: Dirty and smelly water is coming from the taps at Narsingh Colony Mall Godown Road of Gangapur City. Colony residents have expressed their displeasure against the water supply department.
Colony residents said that due to the department’s negligence, dirty and smelly water is being supplied to the colony. At many places the pipelines are damaged and dirty sewer water is also reaching the houses through the damaged pipelines. Leave alone drinking dirty water, it cannot be used even for other purposes. There is a possibility of colony residents falling ill due to its consumption.
Colony residents said that they complained about this to the junior engineer, assistant and executive engineer of the water supply department and to the secretary in-charge, but not understanding the seriousness of the problem, no officer has solved it till now. The residents of the colony demanded from the district administration and higher officials of the water supply department to get rid of the dirty and smelly water, saying that diseases are spreading in the houses due to the supply of dirty water. People are suffering from stomach upset, diarrhea, jaundice and other diseases. If the problem is not resolved soon, the people of the colony have warned of agitation.
