Public holiday declared in Rajasthan tomorrow, government offices will remain closed

Kota : There will be a public holiday in Rajasthan tomorrow i.e. on 17th July due to Muharram. All government offices, banks, schools and colleges will remain closed. According to the government calendar, there will be a public holiday on Muharram on 17th July. Orders have also been issued in many private schools regarding this. However, the government has not yet issued any instructions regarding this.

That’s why Moharram is celebrated

Moharram is celebrated in the memory of Prophet Muhammad’s grandson Hazrat Imam Hussain. During this period, there is an atmosphere of grief in the Muslim community for 10 days. For this, all the men and women of the Shia community wear black clothes and attend the majlis of grief in homes, mosques and Imambaras. Moharram is celebrated by remembering the martyrs of Karbala and mourning them. During this, the battle of Karbala, the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain and his 72 companions is remembered.
