The progress of pulse polio vaccination campaign, AFP surveillance, measles rubella eradication and routine vaccination to be organized in the district from December 8 was reviewed.
Pulse Polio Vaccination Campaign: Pulse Polio Vaccination Campaign on 8th December: According to the latest microplan in the district, vaccination of all children aged 0 to 5 years, taking special care of high risk areas, brick kilns, mining, crusher areas, limited urban areas and slums, Asha, Anganwadi workers to parents of 0 to 5 year olds to start booth activities on time on Booth Day and ensure maximum coverage at booths And the Collector instructed the officials from District Medical and Women and Child Development to motivate the assistants and motivate the general public to get vaccinated by giving them information about the campaign at religious places.
The Collector asked the District Education Officer to make necessary arrangements at the booth for the vaccination workers and beneficiaries even before the booth activities start in the schools on Booth Day, elder children should bring their younger brothers and sisters aged 0 to 5 to the booth and get 2 drops of polio vaccine. Instructions were given to organize rallies on the first day for administering the vaccine and for wide publicity of the campaign.
